Oundle Horticultural Society

Oundle Horticultural Society holds an annual Summer Show and regular talks by well known people in the field of horticulture and is affiliated to the Royal Horticultural Society.

OHS’s regular talks and events are held on the first Wednesday of each Month from 7.45pm at The Methodist Church Rooms, Drummingwell Lane, Oundle.

The Summer Show is held over two days in July, each year. The aim of the show is to promote interest in and enjoyment of traditional pastimes, in particular, in the growing of plants for food and pleasure, on a non-commercial basis. In addition, skills in flower arranging, cookery, handicrafts and other leisure activities are encouraged. The show includes an art and photography section, a sugarcraft section, woodwork, pottery and handicraft sections as well as the traditional flower, vegetable, flower arranging and cookery sections. Judging is done by experienced and qualified judges to standards as set by the Royal Horticultural Society and Women’s Institute.
