Singing on a Sunday

18:15 Brief performance with Nicholas Warden (Head of Singing), Rebecca Bottone and Quentin Thomas (Director of Music)
18:45 Picnics on Chapel lawns

This singing workshop brings together the Choral Society, parents and guests for a relaxed but purposeful  Sunday afternoon. Starting with a massed warm-up, groups will break into sectionals, learning notes, whilst Rebecca Bottone offers enlightening tips on:
• Better intonation
• Dealing with vowel sounds on upper notes
• Dealing with the upper register per se!
• Changing voices through age

The repertoire will include Parry’s most loved works: “Blest Pair of Sirens”, “I Was Glad”, along with a couple of other Coronation numbers. Pupils will join us in the latter stages for a final bit of zest.
