Estate Maintenance Manager

Country estate near Oundle looking for a part-time maintenance manager to work with the current manager and learn all aspects of looking after the estate. This includes garden maintenance such as lawn mowing, strimming, collecting leaves, chainsawing, clearing fallen trees and log splitting. Knowledge of machinery maintenance an advantage. Also general buildings maintenance as required.

This would suit a self-starter who would enjoy getting to know the needs of the estate throughout the year and take responsibility for the smooth running of the day to day jobs as well as the one-off jobs. The role would suit somebody practical and good at DIY.

Working closely with the owners, you will be based in the pretty village of Apethorpe. This position would suit somebody with similar experience or somebody with the relevant attributes who is seeking a change. Initially for about 15 hours per week, to be agreed. Pay negotiable subject to experience. There is lots of flexibility as to the number of hours and days.
