Oundle Historical Society

The Society aims to promote interest in the history and development of the town of Oundle and the surrounding district. The Society was formed in 1983 by a small group of people interested in the local history of the area. Current membership is about seventy members.

We organise a programme of talks from September to May and visits to places of interest during the summer months. Our yearly programme and membership runs from our Annual General Meeting held in March. Several members carry out research into various aspects of local history, often resulting in the publication of books or papers - see Publications - and have delivered talks on a number of occasions.

Oundle Historical Society (OHS) is a member of The British Association for Local History and The Northamptonshire Heritage Forum.

The annual subscription - see Membership - covers free entry to talks. Non-member visitors, who are always welcome, pay £2.
