DEVELOPING THE COVID-19 VACCINE

Alice Kan (OO) is the Pharmaceutical Director at Kan Do Ventures and has 20 years’ experience of pharmaceutical manufacturing in a variety of engineering and leadership roles. In 2020 she was headhunted to direct the development of the fill-finish manufacturing process and facility to produce the AstraZeneca Covid-19 vaccine. In 2022 she won a Top 50 Women in Engineering award on the theme of innovation for leadership of the manufacture of the vaccine. Alice will talk about the roller-coaster challenge of this delivery in record time.
